New prices of MiLeap series laptops have been released for the month of March. The models and specifications are the same. There are not much variations. But there are changes in prices. We have given all models and their prices of MiLeap laptops.
Compaq Presario C739TU is a model of laptop in the product line of HP-Compaq. The specifications are as given. It comes with an Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2330 (1.6 GHz), 512 MB PC2-5300 DDR2, 160 GB SATA, 8X Double Layer DVD +R/+RW Writer, 15.4" WideScreen, Wireless LAN, Integrated WebCam & Mic. This machine comes pre-loaded with Windows Vista Home Basic Edition. If ever you plan to downgrade to Windows XP, you need to install drivers for various hardware. Compaq Presario V3713AU is another laptop from HP-Compaq. This is an AMD based machine with Dual Core technology. The features include 14.1” WideScreen, 160GB Hard Disk, 512MB DDR2 RAM, Built-In Webcam, DVDRW & Double Layer Burner, 802.11 b/g Wireless Lan, Bluetooth, Card Reader, ExpressCard / 54 PC Card, Expansion Port 3, 56K Modem, 10/100 Lan Port etc. This is a blank machine with a FreeDOS. Wordweb is one of the most useful tools for a content developer or a technical writer working on a plain old Windows machine. When somebody like that moves to Ubuntu from Windows he/she would want to have a somewhat similar functionality in Ubuntu too. In GNU/Linux there is the gnome-dictionary or the kdict application that has similar functionality as wordweb. However some minor tweaks are required to make these applications behave almost exactly like Wordweb.

You will have to install an operating system (Windows, Linux etc) to use the laptop. Incase you are planning to install Windows XP, you might have issues with compatible drivers.

This is an Intel Core Duo based machine with a speed of 1.46GHz, 1GB DDR II RAM, 120GB HardDisk, 15.4" WideScreen, Modem, LAN, Wifi, 3 USB ports and it comes pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Basic Edition. Drivers for Windows xp are not available from company's website. We have provided all the links here. Neither Zyxware nor HP gives you any guarantee that these drivers will work perfectly in your laptop for Windows XP, as these laptops are designed to work with Windows Vista.
We had never had to configure an Airtel GPRS internet connection on a Laptop with Ubuntu before as we never had a customer who had one such connection. We however got an opportunity last day when we installed ubuntu on a compaq presario F733AU laptop. Setting up internet access on Ubuntu is easy in itself and setting up GPRS could not have been any easier. The customer had a Nokia 9300 communicator with a USB datacable.
