[SOLVED] Page not found error on new Page View displays

| | 2 min read

Some Drupal Views users have encountered a Page not found error when they tried to navigate to the new Views Page files display they had created. This occurred after the preview page worked correctly and showed the correct test file in the table. It is not very clear what causes this error in the first place but there are multiple actions you can take to fix it. Read on to find out more.

First checkout the following things to make sure it is really a View's issue and not due to oversight.

  • Have you saved the View?
  • Have you enabled contextual filters on this View?
  • Does this occur with every other page View?
  • Have you tried to create another View?
  • Did you notice any errors in watchdog or in PHP error logs?
  • Did you try to clear the cache?

If this issues persists try the following steps.

  • Try deleting that View and recreate it.
  • If you are using "Link this field to its node" option in the View settings try substituting it with "Output this field as a link"
  • If that does not work try to increase the memory allocation in the php.ini file and settings.php
  • If the problem persists try uninstalling the last installed module. Some users have reported that removing the Highcharts module they had installed, solved the problem.

Hope that helps.
