It is that time of the year when fresh graduates are going to come out into the job market in massive swarms and we are planning to provide opportunities for a lucky few at our organization. We have job openings for both freshers as well as experienced candidates. We are looking forward to finding smart, self motivated, intelligent young men and women with strong analytical and communication skills.

If you are a prospective candidate we would like you to answer the following questions before you proceed any further

  • Do you like challenges
  • Do you like solving problems
  • Do you have good communications skills - be it in any language
  • Do you like to work independently
  • Do you like to be in charge
  • Do you like to take decisions on your own
  • Do you like taking risks
  • Will you be able to commit to work with us for at least 2 years.

If you answer affirmative in all the above then you are a good candidate for a position at Zyxware Technologies.
We have several positions open at our company. Some of the key positions we are looking forward to are listed below. Additional positions and more details are provided in our careers section.
Software Engineer
This is the only entry point to our elite software products division. We are primarily looking for freshers to fill these positions. Preferred educational background would be a BTech/MCA/BSc. No specific knowledge in any programming language would be expected. Knowledge in some low level language like C would be considered a bonus. There will be an analytical test as well as a personal interview for selection to this position. After sufficient initial training the software engineer would be put into various projects until he/she is competent to move on to the product development division. Be forewarned that not everybody who gets selected will be able to make it to this elite division.
Content Developer
We are looking for a bright, smart, young fresher with excellent communication skills and a strong command over English. Educational background is not a consideration for this position. However it would be reasonable to assume that the person would more probably be from an arts background than from a science background. It would also be expected that the person will have good creative skills as would be expected of people with strong English skills. The person will be responsible to develop content, non-technical as well as technical, for the company. The person does not have to have any kind of programming background. Sufficient training will be given for the different responsibilities to be undertaken by this person. Anybody appearing for this position will have to bring with them a portfolio of previous work - be it formal or informal, long or short, published or unpublished.

Linux Evangelist
As a company which believes in the potentials of FLOSS for a country like India we have set upon ourselves a task to promote Linux in whatever ways we can. We are looking for a person who is passionate about Linux and has reasonably good communication skills to fill this position. We have already forged/are forging strong relationships with the student communities of different engineering colleges in Trivandrum and we would like to move ahead and enter the larger community as a whole. For this we need somebody who is passionate about Linux to spearhead this operation. RHCE or any other Linux certification will not be taken for granted as a certificate for knowledge in Linux or passion for Linux. The person will not be expected to know everything in Linux (as it would be practically impossible for somebody to get to that level), however he/she should have basic working knowledge and the willingness and the ability to explore, identify and implement solutions using available resources and tools. Responsibilities would include helping the Linux Community with their problems, manage and maintain the Zyxware servers, evangelize Linux through presentations, seminars and technical discussions in the community and at the different institutions in the community.
