Internships are available specifically in the areas of Market Research, Operations Management and Human Resources Management. Project Title: Customer experience of Zyxware’s hardware products business
No of internships: 2
Eligibility of candidates: 2nd year students of management programmes with competence in consumer behavior and market research methods, should be competent in English and Malayalam.
Project Description: Zyxware Technologies has been in the business of IT hardware products for over 4 years. Its customer base has been largely middle income households and individuals. As the business has stabilized over the past 4 years, we are looking to assess our performance from the point of view of our clientèle. We hope to understand the following aspects:
1. Awareness of Zyxware’s products and services
2. IT requirements of the customers
3. Assessment of Zyxware’s products and services against their requirements
4. Other feedback
We hope to use this study to enable us to consolidate and fine tune our business model for this segment.
We expect the interns to conduct detailed surveys with a significantly large sample size and present their findings in the form of a report. The report must not be more than 30 pages.
Project Title: Study of IT hardware market characteristics in the segment of mid-sized organizations like schools and colleges, cooperative banks, small retail outlets etc.

The study should focus on the IT hardware requirements of mid-sized organizations like schools and colleges, cooperative banks, small retail outlets, etc, estimates of IT hardware expenditure, purchase/procurement policies, maintenance and service requirements etc.
Project Title: Process documentation and analysis of software development at Zyxware
No of internships: 1
Eligibility of candidates: 2nd year management students with interest in operations management, people with a degree in IT or IT related disciplines will be given preference.
Project Description: Zyxware Technologies has been in the business of developing web based applications for mid-sized organizations in the last four years. We have grown to a team of 30 people now. We are looking forward to streamline the development process to improve on internal efficiencies and better delivery of value to our clientèle. A process analysis of our software development operation will provide us with a baseline and insights for this streamlining process. The person will be expected to work closely with the project manager and the software engineers.
Project Title: Developing an HR Manual for Zyxware Technologies

Project Description: Zyxware Technologies, after four years of existence, is at an important juncture in its development. Zyxware Technologies would like to develop itself as an organization which develops IT based products and services that are not only profitable but also addresses critical gaps in society, has a team of competent people who collaborate to create value and adheres strictly to an ethical framework. In line with these objectives, we are looking to develop an HR manual through a process involving the employees of Zyxware Technologies.
