We are happy to inform that, we have completed the the first phase of the project on creating a standardized Drupal curriculum for Drupal companies as planned. We have compiled and published our Drupal training curriculum on the groups.drupal.org wiki under the Curriculum and Training group. We are now looking to get feedback from other Drupal companies and Drupal developers on the curriculum and the training materials.

Finding the best of anything is always a tricky question especially if you are likely to have a bias in the decision and the decision is a subjective one. So we are not going to try to answer the question about which is the best Drupal company in India. Instead we can easily list out three of the oldest Drupal companies in India and let you make a call on which of these suites your requirements best. I have to add a disclaimer that we are the second oldest exclusive Drupal company in India.

One thing we have to keep in mind when asking around for the largest Drupal company in India is that we are only looking at exclusive Drupal companies. There are several aspects that we have to be aware of before we set out to list these Drupal companies.

If you had asked for the best Drupal company in India then the answer would have been a lot more difficult than the one to this question. This is a straightforward question and does not have to depend on subjective opinions and biases or the authors of this article. Drupal is fast growing into one of the most popular enterprise CMSes out there and every other vendor is trying to see if they can build their own Drupal teams but nobody can really go back and claim the spots in the list of the oldest Drupal companies in India.

As one of the oldest and largest Drupal companies based out of India, we have a claim to be in the list of top Drupal companies in India. However, it would be rather difficult to really compare the offerings and quality of services of the different Drupal companies and come up with a really objective way of comparing these Drupal companies in India. So creating a top Drupal company list is going to be a difficult task. Instead, we will list out 3 of the largest Drupal companies in India. Do also note that we have only listed the exclusive Drupal service providers and not the 'me-too' companies.

When you try to set up a local development environment from a drupal dump which includes just the code base and the database without the Drupal files folder you will run into the issue of missing files. Drupal would think that it still has all the files in the Drupal files folder and would create links / process images as usual. This would however lead to a lot of unexpected errors in a lot of unexpected places. If you frequently have to set up git version control system for existing projects then you would very likely run into the problem of having to remove files, which should not have been in git, from git after they were added. Running a git rm will only delete the file from the head and the file would still remain in the repository. This may be alright for small files but this could be troublesome for large files as these would unnecessarily bloat the git repository. But don't worry git being a 'swiss army knife' of version control systems there is a solution to delete files permanently from both your local and remote git repositories.
