HCL Infosystems has launched laptops at a very affordable price in the market. Named as MiLeap, these are very compact, and lightweight machines and are available at the price of a basic computer. The company had launched these laptops on 15th January, 2008. These are targeted towards the lowest segment of the market.

Priced as low as about Rs. 14,000/-, MiLeap is a very small and compact laptops with a 7" screen and small size. But they are fully functional laptops with wireless, LAN, modem, media card reader, USB ports but with a weight of only about 1.5kgs. These are targeted at those consumers who wants to stay connected, informed, entertained and productive - any-time and anywhere. It is of the size as small as an average personal diary and it is more convenient to use and carry anywhere you go.

There are 3 models of MiLeap laptops:
1. MiLeap X
2. MiLeap Y
3. MiLeap V

These will be launched for sales on 26th January, 2008. They will be available at Zyxware by the first week of February. Bookings for MiLeap has already started.
