CQ60-104TU is the newest addition from the house of compaq. Its configuration goes something like this. Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T3200 (2.0 GHz), 2 GB PC2-6400 DDR2 (800 MHz) RAM, 250 GB SATA, 8X Double Layer DVD +R, +RW Writer, 16" Wide BrightView (16:9 True Aspect Ratio), Free DOS, Wireless, Bluetooth, One HDMI v1.3, Webcam & Microphone, Carry Case. Windows XP drivers for Compaq CQ60-104TU is not provided at the HP-Compaq website. But we have solved the issue for you. Following are the drivers for Compaq CQ60-104TU laptop for Windows XP.

everyone with the hp compaq presario cq60 downgrading problem yu can find drivers for windows xp at the ff url. i swear it worked for me!!! the most important thing it fixed the ethernet driver first, whic let me connect to the net then i updated the audio driver automatically ...and now im relived & back on track thank GOD!!

sory for informing you in this stupid mistake that I done while using my CQ60 laptop
I was really on a hurry in doing something to my laptop...which is a lil formating!....and I didnt remember to back up my staff you know!
and what I have lost from my old program in which I love playing around with was my Power Director thing....which is for movie edit and stuff...not only that but I lost some of my files which they are very important to me!...so.....I have to ask you how can I get them back...Im gona cray the whole day today if Im not gona see my file back again...plzzzz.....can you DO something????.....plzzzz

help me please, I have cmpaq presario cq60-105eb. I installe the xp home edition for replace the vista, but after, i have no sound in my computer. It is not a good computer? Why they impose the vista, but vista is not good operating system. It is just for the riche, not for us in africa. I love Windows XP.

Working Audio drives

Try this drivers as it worked for me but you need to first install the latest verision of Graphic drives from intel as it has HD Bus drives inculded in it. then install the conexant drives.

You must first uninstall the drivers for Audio.

If you see the audio drives for Vista (SP39902)
check out the IPathVXS.INI file. HP has deleted the XP driver folder from it.

If you download the drivers from driverguide and extract it and if put the XP32 folder in SP39902 folder which is in C:\Swsetup\SP39902 and then run the setup it will work.

Driver problem

All drivers published here are provided by Compaq itself. There may be issues though. Check the dollowing link to know more about the issues while downgrading from Vista to XP

XP installations & drivers

Hi guys,

I have installed XP with SP3 on CQ60-104TU. Let me tell u all that you all can install XP

but it should be with SP3 integrated but you all face problem with sound drivers. As SP3

does not supports High defination audio that doesn't mean that sound will not work but the

quality is not that good. Iam working on it will tell to later how to install HDA. FOR

Try to install XP with SP2 integrate SATA drivers with nlight( I have not tried it yet). It

might support High Defination Audio. If it works the dont install SP3.

I, purchased the above model and tried to install Win XP, but it could not be done. On enquiring with friends and Hp-Compaq Customer Care, I was told that This model has not been designed for WinXP.
