Drupal is one of the most secure Web Content Management systems available today and the credit for this goes to the simple fact that there is a dedicated security team that constantly checks the codebase for any vulnerabilities and provides fixes for any vulnerabilities identified. As per the Drupal Security team, security release "windows" are every Wednesday for Drupal contributed projects, and one Wednesday a month (usually the third Wednesday) for Drupal core.

In Drupal 8, the usage of database operations such as select, update and delete are slightly changed from Drupal 7. The db_query() is deprecated in Drupal 8. To fetch a field we can use : $query = \Drupal::database()->query('SELECT myfield from my_table where field1 = :value1 AND field2 = :value2', array( ':value1' => $condition1, ':value2' => $condition2, ) ); $data = $query->fetchField(); Now we can checkout the select, update, and delete operations in Drupal 8. For a field selection use,

In Drupal 8 we can load an image using image style in a custom function using the file id of the image. For this first, we have to create an image style by configuration or create a config file for the same (Example below: image.style.sample_image_style.yml). Note that we can generate the below file after creating an image style and export the same from config synchronization in Drupal 8.

While working on a Drupal 8 project we suddenly encountered this error after pushing the site to the development server. This had not occurred in our local machines which caught us off guard. A little debugging on the error log revealed the cause of this Drupal message. If you encounter this error unexpectedly, the first thing you should do is to check the error log of the server which is what we did. However, if you do not have access to the error log it and if the issue is only occurring in a particular server after deployment then it is most likely to be a DB issue.

In my project I have a requirement to display the error message of webform submissions in a popup window. Webform is a module for creating simple or multi-step forms in Drupal in an easy way. To display the webform in popup is very hard to me. Webform Ajax module helps to meet this requirement. Its is very useful module for single or multi-step forms with pagination's in a popup box.

The web applications such as Facebook, flip kart, twitter etc can communicate to and fro with Drupal sites.Web services will also allow our Drupal site to pass along content and data to external web applications existing on remote servers.

Drupal, up until now a PAC (Presentation Abstraction Control) architecture, has taken a step closer to MVC (Model View Controller) architecture. Although nowhere have they mentioned about MVC, the new Drupal 8 is strictly object oriented. Another feature in Drupal 8, that is different from the existing versions of Drupal is that it is not entirely Drupal. Drupal 8 uses many components in symfony like it's ClassLoader, YAML file structure, twig and so on. For a detailed description please visit the Drupal 8 home page.
