We had since then signed up for Reliance broadband at one of our offices and had to set up something to connect to the connection automatically. The auto login script for Reliance broadband that we created has been published via our github account as Free Software under GPL.

Another October has arrived and, like clockwork, Canonical has released the latest version of Ubuntu - Ubuntu 11.10 or codenamed Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot. The Content Grid team has in turn put in some effort towards this new release and has come up with an Installation Guide for Ubuntu 11.10. One could never forget Nestor, the wise and thoughtful butler of Captain Haddock, in 'The Adventures of Tintin'. When a file is deleted, only the pointer to the file is overwritten and the original file will still reside in the blocks of the storage device and will be kept there until it is overwritten by another file. In a sense, you can always write a file but you can never delete it. So if you have ever faced the dilemma of trying to recover a deleted file in Ubuntu then look no further. Linux offers a wide range of tools for recovering deleted files. These tools work by retrieving the pointer to the deleted files.

By default, Drupal serves all its files publicly via http. This means that any unauthorized user can directly access all the files through a browser by entering its path. This is also true for files which have permissions for them. The solution provided by Drupal, which is to make the entire file system private is resource intensive and can bring down the server. Zyxware is happy to announce the fact that the Malayalam wikisource community has released the off-line version of their Wiki today, which is touted to be the very first version of such a venture.
