Compaq Presario C755TU laptop comes with Intel 1.67GHz Core2 Duo Processor, 512MB RAM which is upgradeable upto 4GB and 160GB HDD. It has a DVD Writer, 15.4-inch widescreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 dpi. The laptop also has an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 video card, integrated modem and integrated sound card, Wifi, Touchpad mouse, inbuilt speakers and microphone. The laptop comes with interfaces like S-Video port, 3 USB ports and comes with Windows Vista Home Basic.Downgrading to Windows XP would be a problem as HP-Compaq does not support Windows XP anymore. This model of Presario has an audio controller that supports the high definition audio. You  need to have Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition.

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.
3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"
4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.
6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp36090 folder and select the .inf (wis30b2a) file and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.
