A recent review in Business-World has rated the low bandwidth availability in India as an important factor that could possibly slow down the IT growth rate in India. Some of the aspects discussed included the low penetration of broadband among the populace and the low bandwidth available for the network infrastructure. As a private company there is very little that we can do to mitigate this problem. However we have come up with a novel approach to share our bandwidth with those people who does not have access to high bandwidths.

We have been paying for 20GB of commercial bandwidth from BSNL. Often we have spare bandwidth at the end of the month. We would like to share this bandwidth with the rest of the open source community. If you would like to download large open source projects from the net give us a line using the Contact Us page or send us an email at [email protected] with the information about the package or set of packages you would like to download. Also send us the postal address and phone number so that we can send the CDs/DVDs to your address.

You will have to pay for shipping and the cost of Media. Even then you would only be paying only around 10Rs per GB of Bandwidth as opposed to 125 Rs per GB as charged by BSNL, who is by far the best, most reliable, broadband provider in India. To make most out of the shipping charges, make sure that you request for enough content to fill the CD or DVD.

We do not guarantee you the time line for delivery but we will deliver as soon as we download the contents using our spare bandwidth. So don't depend on this if you want critical downloads. Also we will only assist you in downloading Open Source applications and other content that follows the spirit of the open source community. We WILL NOT help you in downloading pirated stuff in any way.
